Reception Celebrating the Duke Global Policy (DGP) Program in Geneva

Join us in Geneva to celebrate the conclusion of the Duke in Geneva program’s intensive course week. This reception offers an opportunity for members of the Duke community to gather in one of the world’s centers for international cooperation.

During the evening, our faculty director, Cory Krupp, will welcome guests and share brief remarks about the program and the students' experience. Faculty members Amy Hepburn and Gavin Yamey will also speak about their respective academic tracks, Humanitarian Action and Global Health, and Duke’s broader commitment to addressing global challenges.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the students who have spent the week learning from international organizations and experts in Geneva, connect with program faculty, and reconnect with Duke alumni from across Europe.

About our speakers:

Corinne (Cory) Krupp P'12 is the Faculty Director of the Duke in Geneva Program and Professor of the Practice of Public Policy at the Sanford School of Public Policy. She has a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and has taught international trade and finance, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics in the Sanford School for 27 years. She leads the International Trade Policy track in the Duke in Geneva program.

Amy Hepburn A.B.'97, M.P.P.'01, P'26, P'28, P'29 currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Investor Leadership Network and Adjunct Faculty Member in the Sanford School of Public Policy. Amy is a policy professional who has researched, published, and conducted programs addressing issues of child welfare and refugees in humanitarian emergencies, including armed conflict and HIV/AIDS in the Balkans, Eastern and Southern Africa, and the Republic of Georgia. She leads the Humanitarian Action track in the Duke in Geneva Program.

Dr. Gavin Yamey is the Hymowitz Family Professor of the Practice in Global Health and a Professor of the Practice in the Sanford School of Public Policy. He holds an MD and MPH and trained in clinical medicine at Oxford University and University College London. Dr. Yamey works on addressing barriers to scaling up low cost, low tech health tools in developing countries in his role as a professor in the Duke Global Health Institute and in his service on the Lancet Commission in Investing in Health and the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery. He leads the Global Health track in the Duke in Geneva program.
