Explore outdoors through hands-on gardening, deepen observation skills while practicing art and science, play nature games and make new friends.
Activities take place predominantly outdoors with some indoor activities. Proof of vaccination against Covid19 is required for all camp participants. Camp will follow all of Duke University’s Covid policies in place at the time. The policy currently requires face coverings to be worn indoors and during outdoor activities when maintaining distance isn’t possible.
We welcome all campers and are happy to work with you to plan appropriate accommodations for your child in our camps. Campers may sign up for any or all weeks for their age group. Activities and themes change each week.
Camp hours: Monday-Friday; 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; aftercare from 1-4 p.m.Location: arrival and pickup at Doris Duke Center. Fee: $200 per week for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. schedule; $300 per week for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. schedule. (4-day camp: -7/5-8 $170 for 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; $250 for 9 a.m.-4 p.m.) 5% sibling/multi-week discount; 15% Gardens’ member discount. Discounts cannot be combined. Scholarship application available upon request; email GardensEducation@duke.edu. Non-refundable deposit of $100 per child per week is required to reserve a spot. Full payment due 2 weeks before the start date of each camp.
