Duke Gardens Adult Education Programs 2020

Explore the world virtually with Duke Gardens in classes, lectures, workshops and programs. All programs will be held virtually online for Fall 2020. We cover a wide range of topics including horticulture and home gardening to natural history, vegetable gardening, mindfulness and nature arts and crafts. New this fall is a series titled The Piedmont Naturalist; develop your skills as a naturalist - curiosity and sensory observation - those are all you need to engage with the world.

THE PIEDMONT NATURALIST

Join us to explore the Piedmont and discover how both urban and natural ecosystems can sustain or challenge plants, animals and insects. The skills of a naturalist - curiosity and sensory observation - are all you need to engage with the world.

 

Fall 2020 Piedmont Naturalist classes include:

  • Plant Folkways
  • Ecology and Environmental Justice
  • Green Life: Plant Interaction with the World
  • The Natural History of Birds
