Are you a NorCal alum with a minimum of ten years career/professional experience searching for your next opportunity in the area or someone interested in providing mentoring or general guidance to those who are?
Join the Duke NorCal Advanced Job Networking Group for a chance to meet monthly with other alumni and share job search contacts, resources, and best practices.
Following similar successful programs in DC and New York, the events are designed specifically for mid- and senior-level Duke alumni in the midst of a job transition and will provide a format for, and an opportunity to connect with, other Dukies in a similar position and share and receive invaluable resources and tips. The design and structure of the Group is intended to build on these additional career resources on the Duke Alumni Network.

What to expect
The planned format is to allow all participants to introduce themselves, share their job search successes, then ask the Group for assistance with their job search challenges. Please bring your job search questions and any companies to which you are seeking a connection (and be prepared to share your "elevator pitch" for feedback).
The group will change on a monthly basis depending on the participants and you can join as often or as sporadically as you like based on the status of your search and your job needs at the time. Whenever possible, we plan to engage alums with a background or experience in placement, career counseling and other career related resources to join the Group to provide thought leadership and expertise.
