Since the original Shack opened in 2004 in Madison Square Park, the company has expanded to 659 Shacks system-wide, of which 373 were company-operated Shacks and 286 were licensed Shacks, including Shacks across London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Mexico City, Istanbul, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul and more.

Lynch is a former CEO of Papa John's Pizza. He previously served as the president of Arby's, famously spearheading the chain's “We Have the Meats” campaign.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Lynch attended college at University of Rochester. He graduated in 1999 with a dual major in political science and economics and earned his MBA from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.
