Course Description
The Southeast Regional Transplant Summit (the "Summit") brings together leaders in the field of transplantation, including those who care for patients pre- and post transplant, to share the latest scientific advances in the perioperative care of solid organ transplant patients and strives to facilitate the multidisciplinary adoption of new research results and practice guidelines. The Summit features didactic and video-based presentations on current research as well as panel discussions and interactive debates on new and evolving advances in technology and practice. Participants will engage in question-and-answer sessions and learn from key opinion leaders in the field of transplantation. Breakout sessions for focused learning are available in the afternoon pertaining to kidney, liver, lung, multidisciplinary care, and pediatric multi-organ. The Summit is a unique program tailored to meet the demands of today's busy healthcare providers.

As an in-person attendee, you are invited to attend all didactic sessions, including your choice of 1 organ-specific breakout session. You will have an opportunity to interact with leaders in the field of transplantation, including industry partners.
In-person attendees will be provided access to the enduring content, including the afternoon organ-specific breakout sessions, once they are available.
Virtual Attendance Option (live morning sessions and enduring content)

Organ-Specific Breakout Sessions (Afternoon)
After the morning general session, participants select an organ-specific session to attend: kidney, liver, lung, pediatric-multi-organ, and multidisciplinary care sessions. The afternoon sessions delve deeper into more detailed and specific
current research, advances, and practice guidelines.

Learning Objectives
The Summit is designed to meet the needs of professionals who manage patients with end-stage organ failure, refer patients for transplantation, and participate in the care of patients after transplantation. Specifically, the curriculum is designed for adult and pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, nephrologists, hepatologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, primary care providers, general internists and practitioners, infectious disease specialists, advanced practitioners, transplant coordinators, nurses, pharmacists, transplant center and surgical medical directors, and junior faculty.
After attending the Summit, participants should be able to:
- Summarize potential impacts and opportunities along with associated risks relating to health factors that impact transplant patients;
- Outline ongoing quality improvement and research projects related to transplantation;
- Discuss expert-driven insights into controversial issues, emerging techniques, and future directions in solid organ transplant

Registration Fee
Live attendee: The registration fee covers all conference materials, your choice of breakout session (liver, kidney, lung, pediatrics multi-organ, or multidisciplinary care), light breakfast, and lunch. Registrants will also gain access to the enduring content without additional cost.
Virtual attendee: The registration fee covers all conference materials and one non-CME industry symposium. Paid registrants will also gain access to the enduring content without additional cost.

Join us for the ASTS Surgeon Scientist Career Development Conference
The Inaugural Surgeon Scientist Career Development conference is designed to provide a career roadmap for early, mid, and late career surgeon scientists. The roadmap includes preconference video modules covering key aspects such as outcomes research, health services research, clinical trials, and basic science, highlighting the significance of finding one's 'why', or passion, and the value of persistence through challenges.
