The Course of Study for Ordained Ministry has been established by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM) of the United Methodist Church as an alternate educational route for persons seeking to serve as licensed local pastors in United Methodist congregations.
Duke Divinity School cooperates with the GBHEM to offer the Course of Study and Advanced Course of Study programs over six sessions throughout the year.
